Mailbox Medic
A cure for the common mailbox.
Mailbox Medic is A-1's postal division. We sell, install, repair, and replace USPS-approved cluster box units for HOAs, apartment communities, and commercial properties.
Who we work with
HOA boards, property managers, apartment owners, and businesses with on-site mail. Few locksmiths handle USPS cluster units; for us it's a regular line of work.
What we do
- Supply and install USPS-approved F-spec cluster box units (CBUs)
- Replace rusted, vandalized, or pre-standard units
- Change tenant compartment locks on move-out
- Repair doors, hinges, and parcel lockers
- Coordinate with the local postmaster on placement and the carrier arrow lock
How a replacement goes
We survey the site, confirm the unit count and pedestal or wall-mount configuration, and quote the full job. On install day we work to keep the mail interruption short, and every resident gets a new compartment key.
Common questions
Who owns the cluster mailbox — the HOA or the Postal Service?
In most communities the HOA or property owner owns and maintains the unit. The Postal Service controls only the carrier (arrow) lock.
Can you change one tenant's mailbox lock?
Yes. Individual compartment lock changes are quick and common on move-outs.
What does F-spec mean?
USPS-STD-1118 specification that current cluster box units must meet for the Postal Service to deliver to them.
